The Professional Ace is a good skill to take if the Wasp is silenced, such as from its Exclusive Set, providing more accuracy and especially stability. The supreme rate of fire makes it a decent choice for the Muscle perk deck if not suppressed, making it extremely likely enemies will panic and not move or shoot. The rate of fire also makes the Wasp an excellent choice for shredding Bulldozer visors. The Wasp's absurd rate of fire grants more chances of scoring critical hits and thus more overall damage when taken in a concealment-oriented build, even with a low critical hit chance. The Rogue perk deck and/or the shotgun Overkill skill when Aced significantly hastens swap speed, allowing for more fluid switching. It is preferable to use the Wasp as your primary and the weapon's high stats make this easy, allowing the player to use their primary as an off-weapon or utility. Players should switch weapons only when needed. The Wasp has an extremely slow swap speed, even though the Wasp's unholster animation can be cancelled by firing or reloading the gun. Exclusive Set mod includes an ammo counter as well as a different sight picture, and silences the weapon while improving damage, Accuracy, and Stability. Unique magazine mod greatly speeds up reloads. Mods greatly increase Accuracy and Stability at the cost of Concealment. Able to reach 100 Accuracy with proper mods and skills. Largest ammo reserve and highest ammo pickup of all SMGs. Overall, the Wasp is best regarded as a "primary-secondary" weapon, best suited to being one's main weapon in a heist due to its lethargic swap speed, yet its prolific ammo attributes allows extensive use by itself, allowing a more specialized primary to be taken and used when appropriate. Thankfully, the Wasp can also take a speedpull attachment, and/or an Exclusive Set to improve its handling with minor penalties to concealment. Lastly, the blistering rate of fire exaggerates the Wasp's recoil, making it extraordinarily bouncy and difficult to control beyond close range without substantial improvement to its stability, while also ushering frequent reloads. 
However, this also drastically slows down the Wasp's swap speed, making it difficult to use in short-notice situations or trying to combo with a primary. Additionally, the Wasp has a unique folding animation when drawing or holstering the weapon, identical to the Cavity 9mm. On the other extreme end, the Wasp possesses the lowest base damage of any SMG, relying on its rate of fire and hitting multiple times to deal the bulk of its damage, designed similar to the Bernetti Auto. Even if the overall detection risk is mediocre, the sheer rate of fire usually ensures more critical hits than otherwise to boost its damage, no matter the critical chance. Its base concealment is also significantly high, marvelously synergizing with critical hits from Low Blow and/or Unseen Strike. It sets a new milestone for rate of fire for any weapon that isn't a special weapon with 1,333 rounds a minute, and it carries the most ammo of any secondary SMG at 240 rounds with an overabundant pickup rate, identical to the JP36. However, the Wasp takes these attributes to the extremes.
The Wasp-DS is another high ammo/rate of fire SMG, fitting in with guns like the Mark 10, Miyaka 10 Special, and the Micro Uzi.
